Will Jesus ever return? It has been more than 2000 years and he still has not returned to Earth. He appears to be long overdue.

Where from?

The way Dad explained it to me was "for the first fifteen centuries after he died, they expected him back...like ANY MINUTE. It's only been in the five centuries that they've stopped holding their breath waiting for him".

The last five centuries correspond to the end of the Middle Ages, and the rise of the Renaissance, and the birth of modern times.

He will show up in Dallas next Saturday.

Sounds like you're having some rather ...earthy (unheavenly) thoughts about the man, and his ...lack of attire.

It would need a good wash after so many years.

Since Jesus was supposedly perfect, I'm sure he was the sexiest man who ever lived.

well i of course think he is coming back. there are supposed to be signs preceding it happening like the cost of food going up to ridiculous levels, dont want to depress anyone...
it might not happen in our lifetimes tho

If he was a real human being, he never will. If he was a fictional figure, then he never even existed. If you can find his cell, maybe a clone can be created from it. That should please many people that are waiting for his return.

I think there's a strong possibility that he will return and he's not going to like what he sees.

He's not the Messiah, he's just a very naughty boy!



In reality, if some bloke did turn up and claim to be Jesus he'd likely be locked up in a mental hospital and given anti-psychotics.

If Jesus returned he'd be locked up in a psychiatric ward.

From a Christian perspective, the answer will be yes. Now it is important that Christian scripture also states that only God the Father knows when this will be and nobody else. And 2000 years might not be a lot of time in the eyes of a being that allegedly is timeless. And also if Jesus returns, a lot of Christians will probably not like it.

Excluding all the apocalyptic events that will accompany/precede/follow the return. Which in this scenario makes it also pretty hard for people to think it just some guy suffering from something like Jerusalem syndrome.

Now for cloning, that will be something else. First, off all are identical twins the same person. How about a clone. And from a metaphysical point of view, would such a clone have the same soul. And that is leaving out the question how would you know that your sample of DNA is actually authentic.

Quit frankly, leaving out the metaphysical question (if relevant), this cloning experiment might at bets produce the same result as the Kahless clone in Star Trek.

He will come back in his resurrection body. The immortal body that we all receive after death... On the day of resurrection.

He will come back with a lot of noise and light in the sky, he will visibly come down from heaven so it will be unmistakable.
