Seriously. Just dont do it. What is the point? We know it is you. Is this some sort of secret signal in case your account is hijacked, and we should be suspicious if your posts arent signed? Stop yourselves. You dont need to verify every post with a signature. Anyone else think this is a little arrogant, or at least, an inefficient way to post? :P

I don't think it really matters. I have my name down as my signature.

Maybe you should consider that people just want others to know their name...instead of just their username. Although, I disagree with this...I am also sometimes irritated by small things like that.

No, and I don't consider it arrogant.
Maybe they are are just dead honest, up front people who are uncomfortable being identified by an alias (username).
I was lucky enough to get the nickname for my first name (Christopher) for a username.

I don't see any problem with that, although I have wonder why they don't put their names on their signature instead of having to type it everytime they make a post, but I think it's fine.

Its an anachronism, a remnant from a much more civilised time before electronic communication, when it was considered polite to sign one's letters...

In today's world, it is a sign of someone who learned to write before personal computers were commonplace...

I do it because people seem to insist on calling me Sophie even when I say my name is Soph.

Why does it matter what style other people use in their communications?
