I hope he doesn't get cancer. The visual effect is sad enough, I hope he stays alright.

But he still keeps drinking the damn silver solution. He likes being blue. I don't think his liver feels the same way. :(

I don't think it's about being blue. I think he figures it will keep him healthy, sort of like an elixir or placebo effect. Emotionally he feels better regardless of the side effects.

I used to work as a volunteer with a group of kids with autism problems / PDD-NOS. Being blue would have been nice for some of them, then people would understand they had a problem. On the other hand, there would be people ready to burn them...

And I thought Dark Elves were fairytales.

I saw the end of this on the news the other night, but I missed most of the details.

I saw that on the news. Actually, I didn't think of the Smurfs as amuch as a Karfelon android from Doctor Who: Timelash.

Yes true.

Pity he doesn't have the voice to match.

On the interview I saw, he said he was going to continue drinking the solution but not rubbing it on his skin. It's my understanding that he had a skin condition and used the silver solution both as a lotion and an elixer. No, he doesn't like being blue. Sorry for making light of this earlier before I knew the whole story.

It puts the lotion in the basket, or it gets the hose.

Seriously though, allusions to blue gnomes, androids, and Silence of the Lambs aside, being blue skin-coloured isn't fun. Until I heard about this guy, though, I would've picked on three things off-hand for having your skin turn blue:

1. Paint.

2. Suffocation.

3. Being bitten by a funnel-web spider.

When she leaves the house, why was she still carrying the psycho's poodle?

When who leaves the house? What psycho? What poodle?

it was symbolic of Clarice carrying away the lamb.
