A place to write things you hope for the future, I was thinking for the future of autistic people but it could be for the future of humanity/ the Earth.

With all this talk of AI expanding, wouldn't it be good if somehow autistic people found it easier to communicate with AI and vice versa? And autistic people finally had a use in this world: as AI whisperers. lol.

I read about autistic racing car drivers, apparently they are much more in tune with their cars and give better feedback to the engineers.

Just musing aloud. What do you think?

It'd be good if this thread was in the adult section because all my hopes, dreams and wishes are a bit x rated.

I thought this was the best section for it as I wasn't thinking of X rated wishes, more thinking of philanthropic ones

Wouldn't it be good if Jesus had a second coming?

He would last about five minutes before American Evangelicals all brand him as being "woke" and would...crucify him all over again!

Wouldnt it be nice if...AI would just friggin GO AWAY!, and if crypto currencies would just go away, and if the climate were at least...stop in its tracks, and wouldnt be nice if Trump and RFK jr. would both admit themselves to mental hospitals instead of running for office, and if the GOP would either cease to exist, or return to being the Party of Reagan (which wouldnt tolerate the likes of MTG or Santos)? And if Putin were just say "cant ya take a joke" and withdraw from Ukraine.

In short...why cant it be the 20th Century?

Wouldn't it be good if sanity returned to politics.

If education became a political priority.

If we could somehow incentivize kindness, the way we incentivize greed.

If our quality of life improved to the point it allowed people to start thinking more generously and empathetically towards the disadvantaged.

If the cold logic of computers could be used to solve issues that humans find difficult because of their emotional investments and failures of imagination.

If Russia would democratise and join the western alliances.

If more people were as inspired by modesty and integrity as they seem to be by bravado and bluster.

If we had democratic and economic structures that were up to the challenge of global environmental breakdown.

If there were other, habitable planets within reach of us.

If the future seemed exciting again, instead of frightening.

If guitar music could become popular again.

You may say I'm a dreamer.

(but I'm not the only one)

yes, the late 20th century was a pretty good time. People were a lot nicer back then. Probably because there were fewer of them!

That's interesting that you mention human failures of imagination. I thought humans were the imaginative ones and AI the ones lacking imagination.

I mean where humans get stuck in one way of thinking, or believing that no alternative is possible because there has never been one. Perhaps an impartial logic could see a better way that our imaginations could not?

Oh right! Yes I have interacted with humans who behave like that. No wonder they can never understand my far reaching imagination and constant stream of ideas! Aha. What strange creatures they are.

What is the Golden Rule? I have wild imaginings of what it could be now.
