It's by far one of the best thrift stores, and prices are low like very low compared to places like goodwill and Arc(though I think Arc is only in Colorado not sure if they have expanded out of the state).
I mean I bought a belt, a cup from the Tommy Knockers brewery, a purse that is bigger than the two I have for times when I need to carry more things around with me and a coffee mug my boyfriend wants to use to keep older junk paint brushes in(he paints minatures and old junk brushes can be good or terrian effects or stuff that could ruin a good brush) I also have delved into painting minitures but he has had the hobby since he was 12.
So I bought 4 things and it was 6 dollars, even at walmart that sort of haul would have been at least 20 bucks if not more. Like the belt itself would have been like 10 dollars and those cups would have been 5 dollars each and the purse easily could have been 20 bucks.
Instead the cups were 50 cents each the purse was 4 dollars and belt was like one dollar, also they have a lot of furniture, me and my boyfriend are kind of bothered we didn't look there for a couch...so we spent 400 dollars on a new couch from American Furniture Warehouse and less than a year in its ripping up the fabric just from sitting on it, Like we keep having to sew it up to keep the stuffing coming out when, we could have just paid 70 dollars for a used couch and then would not even be as bothered about it ripping. But at the time we were looking for furnishings we didnt know about the Re-Store.
So yeah idk...like go there before heading to the wal-mart as they may have something you want or need for even cheaper.

Is this the same as the Habitat for Humanity Restore? Or a different second hand store?
That's what Restore locations are here. I don't think they sell clothing or housewares, though. They do sell building materials, fixtures, and quite a bit of furniture. You can get used kitchen cabinets and counter tops and things like that there, as well as other random building materials that might be slightly damaged - which is no big deal to have a couple broken sheets of drywall when you're doing drywall finishing & it often breaks when getting delivered anyways.
We do have several different thrift stores, some great values, others it seems they must be on some pretty strong drugs when pricing things. Value Village has gotten quite expensive for used/donated clothing. There are other places with lower prices. But VV can still be good on 1/2 price day or shopping for Halloween costumes.
The Habitat for Humanity Restore locations accept used good building materials and furniture and things and then sell them to fund raise for the organization. No idea if they spend the money locally or if it's for foreign aid projects. One additional thing they do is a seniors discount, 15% or something like that.. so it's extra cheap when I'm working with a guy in his late 60's.
