Hello everyone,

I would like to hear what self help books you have found helpful and interesting. I am going through a challenging transitional period in my life right now and I feel that I need new coping strategies and life skills to adapt.

Look forward to hearing all of your responses.

David Allen’s Getting Things Done

The Bible (best seller)

Is there a specific category you're seeking self-help guidance in, or just broadly?

How to Win Friends and Influence People is a classic and very well written. It has lots of interesting personal stories and isnt dry at all. Dale Carnegies book How to Stop Worrying and Start Living is also excellent.

Just broadly, I am open to anything right now.

Not a book, but Psych2Go is a good resource for mental self-care.

I tend to try to stick to self-help in fairly narrow fields, I'm skeptical of anyone (or anything) that claims or portrays itself as having all the answers, just because it's a field that attracts a lot of snakeoil salesmen.
