stupid thing that's going to happen?

1. I got a parking ticket for parking in the end of our own driveway. It says it's for "obstructing traffic," yet I've been parking there for a decade and never obstructed traffic. Some people/guests park in the ends of driveways, careful not to be on the sidewalk, the front or rear end of the car jutting a bit out onto the road. The city used to only ticket for blocking the sidewalk, now they're starting this?? F off. I'm going to dispute it and if it stands the neighbourhood will collectively petition to city to stay the hell away from the ends of our driveways.

2. Some.. colourful adjective woman at the beach told me I shouldn't be flying a kite there because she didn't want to worry about it. Umm, okay - then relax and don't worry. Where else would I fly I kite besides a park on a windy day? I mean, yeah it's a 5.5m kite but so the f what.. it's a kite in the breeze in a park - you expect me to bring it on a day with no wind? :?

3. What's it gonna be? Something else stupid is gonna happen to round out 3 stupid things in rapid succession I just know it. :P

Maybe...youll lock yourself out of the house...end up getting arrested for burglary and breaking and entering...your own house?

Off-topic kinda, but flying kites is a highly underrated activity imo. You should have offered to let her have a go, she was probably jealous.

She was worried I didn't know wtf I was doing or that something could go wrong and I'd hit her or someone else etc.

If I would have offered and she accepted, she probably would have gotten hurt.

The one I was flying is and older version of the green one in this pic:

The wind wasn't great - not super consistent - and the kite is old and the plastic clips that hold the brake lines on the handles had cracked.. I tied things in place to make do, but it wasn't flying the greatest (I'll have to get new clips if I can) and it was dragging me across the sand a bit even though I'm about 215 lbs. She would have gotten hurt And wrecked the kite most likely.

I wanted to get out and feel the wind a bit (besides being on my motorcycle  which has a 14" windshield so I don't feel much wind anyways.) to motivate myself to go buy some more gear and go fly my much bigger kite on the ocean. 8)
