I don't understand. You obsess over it but you also forget?
I obsess as a way to keep from forgetting when I can't get to it immediately, which some people in my family seem to find annoying.

1. Write it down, or better yet, type it into a calendar app with reminders so you know when help is coming to do what.
So, get something to obsess instead of me? I'm also not really fond of reminders, especially if I forget something. If I forget and I get a reminder, not only will it come as an unpleasant surprise (of which I'm also not fond), but I will probably not remember what it is that I need to do. If it needs to be done in a timely manner, it may already be too late, especially if I have other, competing priorities.
1. How can you forget what it was if you type yourself a reminder and a schedule the times it’s to remind you?
iCal does this. Type your own event in the calendar ie “Renew car insurance,” on whatever date you’re going to go do it then set two reminders - one for a day or two before, one for 2 hours before. The notifications come up and you’re reminded of what and when.
2. Don’t procrastinate and just do stuff yourself now instead of waiting for someone else or delaying and doing it yourself later if you can’t manage making plans and sticking to them for yourself or when meeting with other people. If the task isn’t That important to get done then I guess you just won’t do it until it is.
