You'd have to get an atom hoover and hoover up all the atomized bits of your undergarments.

The answer is no, you can't. The reason why a sonic boom happens, and is so loud, is that at the speed of sound you're generating new sounds on top of other sounds and for as long as you're going that speed it's going to get louder and louder.

As for what would happen, we'd probably all blow out both our ears and nose on the sensory overload.

So if you farted while travelling at the speed of sound, it would get louder and louder?

If you (a) farted, and (b) someone lit your fart with a match, then the resulting explosion caused by the ignition of the stream of methane gas (which is what a fart is) could cause an explosion so energic that it might propel your body through the air fast enough to make you airborne...and with luck...your body might well break the sound barrier. And if that were to happen then the steady sound of your...screams of pain and of terror...over the entire flight...would get snowballed into one sudden noise...a high pitched version of a sonic boom.

It happened in the Canterbury Tales.

Geoffrey Chaucer wrote:
This Nicholas just then let fly a fart
As loud as it had been a thunder-clap,
And well-nigh blinded Absalom, poor chap;
But he was ready with his iron hot
And Nicholas right in the arse he got.

Yes, the fart sound would stack on itself. I'm unsure if rule 34 applies though.

A fart only lasts a moment so there is nothing to "stack". So it wouldnt contribute much to a sonic boom. A sonic boom is the steady roar the jet engine makes along its entire journey collapsed down to one moment.

Not me dude, my farts are quick but not that quick, the hoover would be for the OP, now you know where the username Sonic200 comes from.

Some sonic booms aren't especially loud. A .22 LR round is supersonic (over 340 m/s) and therefore generates a sonic boom, but it isn't very loud.
