Years ago I met a guy at a Holloween party who came as a "mid life crises".

But by the time I had crashed the party he had already mostly dismantled most of his costume. So I never got to see his get up in full glory. Just a T shirt with the word "midlife crises emblazoned on it".

Regretted it ever since.

Sounds like a great idea for a halloween costume. But it taxes my imagination how you would "depict" something like that in a costume. Maybe he had racy cars, and sexy babes (toy cars and Barbie dolls) pined to his outer garmets. LOL!

This reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes comic, where Calvin is out trick or treating in his regular clothes, and when he goes to a house the adult asks "Where's your costume?", and Calvin explains that he's dressed as "Yet another child born in an already overpopulated world", and something about taking over when the adult is "old and weak" The next panel shows Calvin walking away eating candy and saying "Boy, am I scary or what?"

And mildly depressing, too.

^^^This reminds me of a scene from the Halloween ep of King Of The Hill. A hard-core religious nut banned publicily celebrating Halloween like trick-r-treating. At the end of the ep it was Halloween evening & Hank put on a costume & went outside yelling trick-r-treat. His three stooges lackeys joined in but they didn't have costumes so they quickly thought of things to put on. Dale was wearing cheap suit & said he was a Washington lobbyist peddling influence

Halloween 2024, right in the thick of the US election cycle, will be next-level.

Try a direct link -

I see you've expressed difficulties with postimg links elsewhere on WP, but that site has been used here many times without issue - maybe something has changed at your end? :chin:

Only that I have increased the security settings to prevent malware (in the guise of 'harmless' image links, for example) from entering my computer

Ahha... Try specifically allowing i.postimg.cc or *postimage.cc
