Personally I think the outcome of an abused child is quite random. Read the book: A Child Called "It" and you will know what I mean. In conclusion I think that they will grow up to be either an overly "good" person or a demented monster in the end. Personally I cant call myself either of those things, so I guess it depends on the situations.
This is what Ive learned from my experiences: How NOT to treat your kids. So I turned out to be the good guy in the end, but I still have an attraction to mischief every once in a while
So I didnt really turn out to be "bad" either.
The effects of childhood abuse seem to be so diverse. I suppose it depends on the child's underlying personality and other factors, but some seem to cope remarkably well and use the experience for positive things...some seem to just sink into a plethora of psychiatric conditions as a result, and others still end up involved in criminal activities. Some further have a combination of the latter two things.
"The effects of childhood abuse seem to be so diverse." The
forms of child abuse are very diverse as well.
Heres one frightening example of what happened to a girl who is around the same age as I:

These events occurred around 1970, I was 12 years old, the girl was 13.
