This legend is only known by those of Wisconsin. It goes back to the 1800's when very few settled in the area a creature wonder about causing many fatalities. Not to far from Elkhorn a brutal slaying happened a large group of settlers was ripped to shredes. No one knows for sure who or what it is? No one knows for sure if it even exsists. But there have been sightings in the past years. There are those who say it is a werewolf, big foot, or a large dog. No one is certain on what is. For 11 or 12 years I have lived near Bray Road and out of all those years I have never saw it. But I know it exsists. It only comes out every 50 years to walk along the road looking for its next meal or others like its self. It is a greatest mystery and biggest legend around my parts. I read about this thing whilst researching cryptozoology. I think it's a load of crap, though. Probably just something to scare children into behaving. That was a real big thing back in the 1800's.

Not to say I don't believe in the unknown, however :). I've seen close to a dozen UFO's in my lifetime, one of which was quite possibly an entity known as "mothman."
