I was just thinking some people seem to put on this really squeaky high-pitched voice, presumably to sound cute??
All women in my case, but some men probably do similar things.

I think only 1/5 people like that have been tolerable. Just too much fakeness.

What are some other seemingly ridiculous but actually pretty good reasons to avoid people.

I hate it when women do that squeaky voice in order to be cute and feminine. The more they do it, the more I want to look like a German soldier. I'm trans and I identify as Male and I'd rather be seen as a Nazi than a lady any day because of the silly little things those squeakers do. Those are also the same types who jump up and down, squeal, scream and giggle.

in Japan: kawaii culture

Being unreliable. Cancelling plans excessively and so on.

Never giving a straight or truthful answer - ever. Constant jokes - no thanks.

I just remember one time in the liquor store I noticed this woman maybe about my age or a little older, but talking in the worst like toddler/baby voice to her partner....it was annoying like I get maybe trying to say a couple things in a cute way or whatever but like the way she was talking it sounded like a baby and it was obnoxious.

That said I don't mind so much if people squeal and giggle if something makes them laugh or just really makes them happy as some people just do react that way, but I guess if it seems fake that would be off-putting.

That's a huge red flag for me.

Me & my girlfriend both find that very cute or funny sometimes & we do that with each other some. I only do that with her & we're home or no one else is around but she also does that with family sometimes to be funny.

Same here.

Another one for me is bringing up plans to do something with me & not following through like plans never get details worked out or things start to get finalized & then canceled. I understand things come up sometimes & it can be hard to fit extra time in a busy schedule but it gets disappointing &/or frustrating to deal with a lot.

Asks to 'borrow' money.

(May not be so silly, after all.)

Not liking cats. I don't mean people who are allergic or afraid of them, just people who say they hate cats. It is so off putting to me

goedmens, Gutmensch. - (derogatory) do-gooder; person who has a naive and unreflected conviction of their own moral superiority
- (derogatory, in particular) someone overly concerned with political correctness

full of empty promesses, to make themselves feel good about themselves
pretending(overly) to be caring, but never do :(

hi bob

Someone who is unable to give answers that correspond to the question asked. A recent example from my life:

Q: "Where is the black suitcase?"
A: "We're going back in fifteen minutes."

After a lot of discussion, this person clarified that they incorrectly guessed my reason for asking the question and answered according to the guessed reason. This led to a lot of wasted time that could have been avoided by just answering the damn question.

Well if I'm getting to know someone who could possibly be a friend and one of the first things they ask me is what my job is then I usually don't want to continue to talk to them.

I consider it a bit of a red flag to identify someone with their job title so much that it's the first thing you ask them.
And I assume they will want to talk or complain about their jobs a lot and I don't want that in my life.
