how many numbers really matter in life?

To my view, it's just 0, 1, and 2. (and also infinity if it's a number)

everything else can be expressed as a sum of the previous 3.

lucky numbers, anyone?

^Mine is too.
I find numerology fascinating although I don't believe any of it.

Sorry, but there's no such thing as a lucky number. I think magical beliefs are harmful and need to be mentioned when they come up.

I don't believe any of it, but I still find it interesting.

I love the number 7 I do

I love it even more when it comes up 3 times at once

I also like 1 but not as much as 7

13 is also a good number when it comes up

According to the book of Curious and Interesting numbers, 39 is the first truly uninteresting number. But this is a paradox, because the very fact that it is the first uninteresting number, makes it interesting itself.

It’s known as the “interesting number paradox”

I don't know if I have a lucky number.
I don't know if I actually have a favorite number.

The closest favored I may have is the number 22 -- in a sense that I favored the color green because my birthstone is emerald, instead of saying of how sentimental, appealing, interesting or resonating it is or ever was to me.
