I've got to be up in 3 hours anyway, it's not worth sneaking back to bed hoping that nobody wakes.

It's complicated but I know I will set off a chain reaction if I try.

Quote:
Quetiapine, sold under the brand name Seroquel among others, is an atypical antipsychotic medication used for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder. Despite being widely used as a sleep aid due to its sedating effect, the benefits of such use do not appear to generally outweigh the side effects.

I have a realtive who had mild schizo. I wonder if he takes it...apparently it's pronounced: quite a peen.

Is this how it went...

Doctor: "Hey isabella, what i'm going to give you now, is Quetiapine, just swallow it down, when you want to go to bed, it should make you feel better, it might leave a bad taste in your mouth, but once it's inside your body, you'll sleep like a baby afterwards.."

I’m not schizophrenic or psychotic, but thanks very much for your concern.

.

I don’t take it regularly. My normal sedative was all gone so I took 1/4 of a 25 mg tablet which is 7 years old, prescribed after my stroke to calm my brain for a week. It knocks me on my arse so I can’t take any more than that. Turns out the phone rang and woke me up so I’ve been spaced out all day and didn’t even get a good sleep.

I’ll have insomnia again tonight as I still don’t have my regular meds.
