For example, I've seen packages of deli meat that claim to be "all natural" with only a few ingredients that aren't like something out of a laboratory. Which might sound great, but they're still wrapped up in plastic. And we all know now that microplastics are the new asbestos.
That plastic wrapping will eventually leach microplastics into the environment after it's disposed of and starts to disintegrate, but it's not leaching microplastics into the food it's wrapping. Eating food wrapped in plastic is not dangerous.
