Hello,

I am writing this because I recently deleted all the apps like TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube off my phone and started reading to fill the time up in my life. This has helped greatly by making me feel like I’m doing something with my life.

I was wondering what changes you’ve made to your life (be it small or large) that has made good changes in everyday life.

I started working out at the gym about 10 years ago. Mostly strenght training. It has improved my self confidence and mental state a lot. In most situations I feel a lot less social anxiety today due to being used to lifting weights barely dressed in front of other people.

I removed fictional mass media from my life.
Books, movies, tv shows, music
Like a youtube or social media addict I realise that when overconsumed. Fictional media does not add value to my life. It infact distracts me from reality.
In my spare time now I either use reddit (informative articles only!) Read a non fiction book or meditate.
I try not to have too much free time though, id rather live actual life than resd about it on a website or a peice of paper, I just find myself often with nothing to do.
Benefits I have noticed so far is
Improved vocabulary
Closer friendships by being more available to talk with new people I meet and old friends.

Reduced my exposure to social media.

Reduced my interactions with the PNT population.

Stopped supressing my stims and ticks.

I could spend hours listing things that haven't helped.

The biggest thing that has helped, honestly, was joining WP. My mental health was very low when I joined and just reading and interacting with people who've had similar experiences has made an enormous difference.

1. Quit drinking
2. Believe in God and pray
3. Adopt humility and let go of ego
4. Quit toxic relationships
5. Working full time
6. Adopt a cat :cat:
7. Move out of the big city to a smaller city
8. Study magic
9. Save money
10. Remain on good terms w/ family

All ten of these are important. Maybe equally so. A lot of it is personal preference. However I think everyone should do #1. As for #2, people get hung up on history and society, and so reject God. They think of the Religious Right if they ever think of God. Or maybe Islamic Jihad. I don't know. Something bad. God gets a lot of bad press these days.
