When I stumble something over the Chinese blogosphere, I found this flash animation which should reach a wider audience than the Chinese. It's about a chicken who speaks from its perspective about the avian flu. Here's the link from the page I found which subsequently translated by babelfish and the link from Google in Chinese

You can play that one as long as you've the Flash player, however you may not understand the song sung in a child's voice because it's in Chinese. I was tempted to post the original Chinese up here for the line to line translation, but I'll just give a straight line to line translation below with the help of Babelfish (with some rearrangment of course!) instead.

I don't want to say I am a chicken

I don't want to say I am very clean, I don't want to say I am very safe either;
But I absoulutely cannot endure people's misunderstanding,
Have a look at the pound, and count the number of the eggs which are waiting to be culled.

Eating my meat and I don't mind; Taking my egg and I'll agree too;
But what I cannot tolerate is that I'm treated as the pollution,
Thinking about my painful destiny, smoothing the tears from the pain; I can understand human's emotions too.

The same chicken, the same egg; how can the same of us become somehow the infection source?
Avian flu, is very dangerous. Who makes us have the same bird ancestor?

O his father, is already executed; O his brother, is catched for the experiment too;
This year, it is more difficult to be a chicken than a man.
Even if we may overcome today and tomorrow, the day after tomorrow we'll all be dead.

(Refrain X2)
The same chicken, the same egg, how can the same of us become somehow unworthy?
We've meat as well, we've meal as well; man cannot live a world without chicken.
The same chicken, the same egg, the same of us may not pass our year,
We've meat as well, we've meal as well; man cannot live a world without chicken.

(The speech after the song)
2005 has passed,
we hope that everything unpleasant has gone too.
We wish all the chicks, the ducklings and the kids can grow up healthily;
we wish that the world can be truly healthy and peaceful [sic, I know it doesn't make much sense in English].
Man cannot live a world without chicken.

I'll run the poll for 10 days.
