Hopefully some world leaders will actually take notice of initiatives like these for a change. I doubt if they will. If only it were that simple. Nevertheless I think initiatives like this are good, if only to keep making people conscious that not everything in the world is milk and honey.

(On rereading this, I realize this sounded a lot more hippie-ish than it was intended... :lol: Oh nevermind. It's just that I don't like violence, even though I realize that sometimes it's inevitable, to prevent worse.)

The only way for a nation to have anything even close to peace is to be constantly prepaired for war.
True world peace is something that won't happen until there is no one left to fight.

Great idea. But how far does this peace extend? Are street gangs and personal disputes included in the peace? How is the message going to reach everyone?

Thank you for showing us that site, because now I know that the 21st is peace day. I'd better tell the rest of my family! :wink:

Peace needs to be on the earth, we need to all be equal - but how? I wish and hope that it will soon be possible (already it is getting better in some places! :-) ). I am already saving up money for some charities and maybe I could give some of that money on Peace Day if I have the chance (although I cannot see where and how I would give it).
