I was away for a while. The CDC said I had to spend some time in the iso ward at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Good times. Seems I contracted some strain of the flu that they weren't familiar with. My fever was 103° for a full week until it broke. Man, they had me hooked up to every machine, monitor, pump and gizmo imaginable. My head felt like it was going to implode. There was talk of flying me to Virginia if there wasn't any sign of my fever breaking by a certain time. It did.

Glad to see that you were able to bounce back to good health, digger1. You certainly have been through the proverbial wringer with the flu. Welcome back to WP!

I'm sure they classified it with an alpha-numeric code or something. All they told me was it was an exotic strain of the flu. All I could smell was chlorine and saline.
