I'm very happy with my dog. Any subsequent pets after this one passes on will be dogs.

A Jack Russell Terrier. They are never truly trained, they just let you think they are (some of the time, usually when food is involved).

If I couldn't have a dog I'd go for tropical fish. I can sit and watch them for hours. Very therapeutic. (Did I spell that right?)

AKA a rainbow boa.

And I like all animals. My three cats will do for now, though.

Why?
Just curious, can't see the allure myself.

A little calico cat that comes around frequently. We call her C.C. (Calico Cat). Not original, but fitting. Also, there is a Lynx point who comes around every so often. I nicknamed him Roger.

A Basset Hound because they are one of the most loyal, devoted, and accepting breeds of dog; just ask Remy my Basset!

If I couldnt have my pure-breed sacred Birma, I'd go for a formicarium (an ant-farm).

Now there is therapeutics!
