I am addicted to using computers. If I am not doing anything constructive one day, I will spend all day (and all night) on the computer. Time goes so fast when i'm using them.

Anyone else addicted to computers?

Computers are useful devices -it's not an addiction any more than automobiles or clothing is an addiction. I think that's a terribly overused and misapplied word.

Would it be possible for you to stay off your computer for a week, except for the necessary things? If not, you're addicted according to my definition.
I'm not sure if I am an addict. I might be.

i could do a week without a computer, even longer, but there is no reason i'd need to do so,
so why should i?
i use it several hours every day.

but being on a computer all day is too much because you skipp all healthy things (like personal hygiene, eating, the mininum excercise to stay healthy and the time thinking about how to organise all this stuff in order to keep it at a healthy level)

i hope for you you have (or plan) a job in computer techniques and that you have a very comfortable chair

Only when I'm on vacation.

I've done it a few times lately, I feel out of touch with the world without online access but I can make do.

i am not addicted to computers as such, but certain things on computers, such as the Final Fantasy games for my onsoles, i can play them for 10 hours solid (the most i have one is 19.5 hours solid, i had one hell of a head ache the day after)

on a computer it would have to be a game i have mentioned in my previous posts, called Kingdom of Loathing it is a great game
