Everytime i buy food, i always check the expiration dates on the container, as well as the nutrition facts and ingredients.

But recently, i learned that even toothpastes and soaps expire. After cleaning out a pigstyed drawer in my brother's bathroom, I found over 10 tubes of toothpastes that expired in 2004. i kept them, because i actually liked the funny smelll of the toothpaste, and i thought it would be a good idea to clean appliances with it. after all, i don't like to waste anything. But no way would i brush my teeth with them! lol

I always check the expiry dates on meat products and medicines but everything else I don't bother.

It cleans the teeth by dissolving hardened plaque... eeeew, I know.

We're not supposed to swallow it. :P

Yes, they do put fluoride in the tapwater too; I think in Canada they do it almost everywhere. Or at least where I've been.

I'm a bit paranoid about expiration dates myself.

Speaking of toothpaste, did you know that you're never supposed to buy toothpaste from dollar stores? It's because they tend to be cheap brands from other countries that have way more fluoride than what's recommended by the FDA, and they're usually expired to boot.
