I like it the way it is.

It's not my board to change.

Hmn. .

I like it a great deal how it is as well.

However. .

I think a "how to complain to the mods about serious things" notice on the rules sticky would be good. . .

and I also think- and I don't know if it does that now- that having a link to the rules sticky on the "getting an account" form, quite visibly somehow, so that people know it's there before they post, if they've always been reading from the home page. . .

I think the women's forum shouldn't be linked into from the home page, were guys wander into it all the time without trying.

I also wish there were more feminazis like myself here. . . I mean, I'm glad that people here have opinions, but I don't have time to disagree with everyone when they're wrong. :)

And while I'm writing a Christmas list, it would be nice to have better sorting and searching functions, so that the "no duplicate posts" rule would be more reasonable to follow- and so that one could find another person's older posts. That would be really cool.

Options for a bit more detail on the profiles would also be nice. Sure, a lot of people wouldn't use it, but it would still be nice.

I think that would do. :)

Though I must add-

All this would be nice. .
but I really appreciate what's done to make it as it is.

I know that but I was just wondering if there was anything you DON'T like about it.

It's already changed a few days ago and now I can't get the same colours I used to get when I logged in.

I'm upset.

A good idea, IMO.

Sorry, I just accepted this fact this past week.

Since joining I haven't liked the idea that the moderators (aside from one that I know of) hides the moderator title. That doesn't help members find & report problems, harassing threads, etc.

I also find it annoying that it takes so much work to find your own recent posts, most other boards have ready links. The only way I have been able to do so is to dig & find one of my old posts & go through my own profile. On a busy board it's hard to find one of your own posts. I don't always feel like posting just to find my profile. I think there should be a link in our entrance page.

This isn't like most boards online, it functions slightly different then the 'norm'.

Find and install some type of "troll zapper" software/program.

The fact that "Women's Discussion" is displayed to non-members could be seen as a service to women not (yet) a WP member, and at least non-members (and logged-out members) sneak-peeking in the "ladies' room" can't post there. But when I signed in, I think I filled in a field with my gender, so I was a tad surprised when the main forum index kept showing the "Women's Discussion" thread, even to a logged-in male user.

Admitted, it's not the big killjoy that renders WP unusable, and neither is the next detail I'd like to mention: At the very bottom of the "Topic review" box displayed when writing a post (scroll to the bottom), it says "test" -- looks like a bit of leftover debugging activities...

I would have ZERO tolerance of racial abuse.

My one swish of the magic wand would make all the ultra-serious agenda-driven posters realize that this is meant to be a friendly place for discussion and exchange of views, and not their own personal pulpit from which to proselytize, browbeat, and demonize others simply because they may have a different world-view.

That'd require some magic, eh?

But my worldview is right, damnit!

I don't know if WP's changed or I have but I am losing the will to post here :( I can't put my finger on it exactly, but the 'vibe' seems so different now to when I first joined, it seems less supportive, more combative (is that a word?) and I miss a lot of the members who don't post much now, or have left. Maybe there's a natural time limit for being here, a lot of members seem to leave after about a year, and I feel that my time here's about up too.
