Today someone came in selling tickets for the departmental Christmas ball. I flatly refused to go. When a girl asked me why, i answered that i wasn't feeling up to it, she asked me how i knew i would feel the same in 2 weeks, and i just didn't answer, she said it wasn't like me - which was a pretty stupid thing of her to say, since it is very much me. (it felt very liberating to just refuse, with no lies or excuses, i should do it more often)
Do you get invited to this sort of thing, and do you go? do you have a good time if you do? I refused to go because dancing bores me, i don't like dressing up, i wouldn't know most of the people there (if it were a smaller thing with people i got a long with ok, i would go), and (no offense) drunk anglosaxons tend to be obnoxious.

I hate, hate, hate, hate, tupperware parties....gag-gag-gag-gag-gag. My friend had them often and felt guilty not inviting me. She didn't invite me because she knew I never wanted to go. SO....to ease her guilt I let her invite me and she let me say know. Well she use to be left out all the time so I think she was always worried that I would feel left out. The things we do for our friends.

The school I used to go to held dances every couple of months. I hardly ever went to any of them, because they were too overstimulating.
