Looks a bit like a hamster I used to have.

Clever bird.

I used to have a bird, but it flew away. Oh well.

A canary, but that was a long time ago.

My grandfather was a canary breeder (he used to have about 200) and spend all day looking after them. Eventually he gave up because it was too time and energy consuming.

Lot of beautiful music that must have been!

I would love to just take care of birds, particularly parrots - they are my favorite type of creature.

Actually it was! Whenever I would visit my grandparents I would choose the bedroom closest to the 'birdroom' (they had one just for them) because of all the noise they made, which wasn't annoying in anyway.

Is it true that if a speaking parrot is put with another parrot, it doesn't speak anymore?

That is cool. I sleep in the living room, which is the birdroom. If I don't wake up before the sun, I wake up then either to my parrots singing, or Patty and Pavi flying to me to investigate.

True at least that they don't speak English, but I would say that they have or develop their own language.

I remember they would all start singing when the sun came up. It was funny how 'sudden' it was (around six a.m). Like clockwork.

The earth rotates fairly regularly and birds like the sunlight. However, when it is cloudy or raining mine are usually tired and sleeping.
