How do I change the "Phoenix" under my name to something custom?

I think it varies depending on the number of messages you've submitted and you can't change it.

Once you get 1000 Posts, go to your profile and scroll down to the avatar Section. Click Upload through Forum Profile. An alternate profile will be displayed with a Custom Rank section below your username. You can then change your rank from there. If you're a Phoenix with 500-999 posts you can't change your rank.
