How many times do you start posting a reply and then trash it?

I'd say I delete 60 - 75%.

There's something about the feeling of shutting up that I really enjoy.

All the time, at least half of my posts. I just feel like alot of stuff is better left unsaid I guess.

I either get bored with what i was going to say, forget it half way through, or don't feel it is appropriate at the moment...

I would say around 75% for sure. The ones that I do post are usually re-written at least 10 times (I am not exaggerating). I spend a lot of time lurking too.

Most of them are even more offensive than my normal ones. Im just like, "Dude thats totally over the line".

I've posted over 300 messages in the time I've been here. In that time I've probably deleted 20-30 messages. So, that's like 10%.

About 15%, I think. Sometimes I'll write a long one and then delete it. It doesn't matter to me because it feels good to write, whether or not anyone else gets to read it.

Ironically, I started to post a response to this topic and then thought "No, that's not important enough" and closed the window.

I'd say I just close the window for about a third of the posts I type out, especially when I can't think of exactly how to word something.

I always have something to say, rather than just needing attention and posting for that, so I never have to delete my posts... when I want attention I bother my PM buddies!

Here, I've done that once out of what... like 45 posts already? But here I feel my thoughts get more understanding or something like that.

On groups.google.com (Legatou in the Atheism vs. Christianty group), I delete probably 60% of what I write.

i back out of a few posts... probably like 5-10% of my posts have been backed out of, all of which which were in PP/R. i almost NEVER participate in that subforum.. its a bunch of BS
