a few years ago I drove from melbourne to brisbane on a business trip and went past a powerstation. sometime later I drove back to that powerstation on my own time and took a photo. the round trip about 2000 kms..by the way the station was not operating tours at that time as a pipeline to a cooling tower had ruptured.I just had an urge.I did find a very nice operating steam locomotive on a tourist railroad as compensation on the same trip and spent the day riding on it.anyone else found that urge?

well powerstations are just plain good fun and steamtrains are right up there to but I meant the feeling that urges you to go off and do something that no sane person would otherwise consider doing

Long distance driving can be interesting. It's like an oddysey. There's also the feeling of escape, leaving it all behind. Sometimes I just go for drives to entertain myself. I have dogs so they get an outing too.

My dad used to inspect the boilers at power stations for a living. I would postumously dx him as an aspie.
