do any of you aspie girls wear make up?

If So, could u go out the house without it on? its just that few girls wouldnt do that and do you think it attracts boys more or no?

And also... do you see the point in wearing makeup?

I dont purely because i never wear it, only on the odd occasions.

Whats's your views?

I'm just wondering.

Thanks

I wear less the older I get. I used to not be able to leave the house without it on, but I can now more. Mostly cause when I don't wear it people ask me if I'm tired or if I'm feeling ok, and I'd rather not deal with that aggravation. I usually get pissed and tell them "don't ever ask me why i always wear makeup!"

I think it attracts more guys, just because it makes me look like I'm trying to be "available", which I'm not, which is why I wear it less now. I hate having to tell an interested guy I'm married, especially if it's like at work or somewhere where I have to be around them a lot, because they tend to act hostile towards me after presented with that fact.

I'm 34 and growing out my salt and pepper hair I've kept colored the last 10 years. I've been going gray since I was 16, seriously! I'm tired of everyone treating me like I'm still a kid! Of course it may just be the AS.

well im not a girl :) but i have an experience that relates to this.

I have a female friend that I strongly suspect has AS (25 years old now). Once she told me in a rebellious way that "Why do I have to dress nicely and wear makeup? What's the point of it? If a guy likes me he is supposed to like me for who I am doesnt he?"

She had a point there. But still I didnt agree. I told her that she is not supposed to wear makeup just for the guys, but for herself. For feeling pretty, and feeling comfortable with herself. But as she has AS (as myself) I can see why she looked at the matter in a very mechanical way. Five years later, she does wear makeup and dresses nicely.

I guess the thing is AS people are sometimes very idealistic, and very functional in our way of thinking. Everything has to have a function, and we have to understand it otherwise its useless.

Am girl/female,and classic autistic, have never worn make up and never will-am have never had the same input into the human world as others and feel no need to wear it.
Sister is also in her twenties, but undiagnosed [at aspie level] and she likes make up,the desk in her bedroom is full of it.

I'm a guy too... but here's my thought...

Some girls really cake on the makeup and all I can think is wow... what must they look like under all that stuff that they feel such an overwhelming need to disguise themselves.

I like people looking natural - makeup isn't.

Also - kissing/cuddling a girl with lots of makeup is like rubbing your lips around in a jar of foundation.

I like wearing makeup. I don't do it all the time, but it helps me feel better about myself when I do.

I don't wear makeup very often, but when I do, I don't do it to attract boys. I wear it to make myself feel pretty. I doubt most boys even notice it anyway.

Sometimes. But I really have to think about it beforehand; it's never really come naturally to me. I don't do it for boys, except maybe to freak them out... I think contrast looks beautiful (and by that I mean dark, dark makeup on my paper-pale skin). But most people either don't notice or, as I said, get freaked out. I once made a girl run away screaming just by standing in front of her while we talked

I like wearing make-up (a lot), but only on special ocassions. I'm too lazy to use it everyday, and my face is pretty enough, so I don't absolutely need to use it, and I don't want to get too many wrinkles too soon.

I'm not a make-up type person. I've experimented, but never worn it in public.
It's like wearing a mask, only it smells funky.

I don't wear makeup.
I don't use hair products apart from shampoo and conditioner.
