I know Alex has to pay bills, but this is too strange for words:

I don't know if it will look the same on anyone else's computer, but it looks like a very scary killer doll.

No. You linked to the ad, so it changes with every refresh of the page, I believe.

I enjoy almost all of the the Gawker Artists ads. I've even clicked on them several times to find out more about the artist. I haven't seen the scary doll one.

When it comes to ads, the stranger they are, the more people pay attention to them. Worked for you, didn't it? 8O

I should have saved, GIMPed and photobucketed it then. Still the killer doll was not to my liking.

The purpose of an advertisment is to catch the eye of people. In this age of time, that is done by showing something really strange.

Strange makes you think, makes you curious. If the ad stuck with you enough for you to make a post about it, then it is working as intended.

I suppose that for something to be weird there must be a reason for it, in many cases. Still I wasn't thinking of weird-unique, more like weird-get that thing out of my sight! kind of weird.

Oh good. I looked at the picture read his comment, and figured one of us must be insane, because i saw very nice outdoor nighttime picture, and I couldn't begin to figure out how that could be interpreted as a scary doll

What about the weird "Killer Curves " ad that shows a topless guys back ( looks like a womans waist ) then pulls back to show off his big gut? THEN he looks at you accusingly .

Some kind of ad for high bloodpressure I think. It freaks mje out.

Those eyes . . . . .
