Looks like there is a huge mass of high pressure that descended onto the mid-west from Canada. Fargo is currently the coldest spot in the continental US.

I'm used to very cold weather, but this is just crazy! 8O

My husband says that sound travels differently in extremely cold air. Do you think that's true?

-31 is hardly considered "extreme" in scientific terms. Maybe sound waves would start traveling differently if it were -150 or -300 :P

So what kinda experiments are you going to try?

Peeing outside to see if it freezes in mid stream?

In Australia I tried frying a egg on a rock.

Is that with or without wind chill? Where I'm from, it can get as cold as -34C degrees with wind chill. But still, that's damn cold. I wish thee luck!

In England it never gets cold. Today it's about 10C (50F).
