I feel like my mother abandoned me when I was 12 by putting me into foster care. She later put my 2 sisters into foster care and took them back but I remained until I was 21.

These lyrics remind me of that:

It's one thing to be passed on when someone's an infant... I imagine it's awfully hard when a child is old enough to realize what's happening.

You've got a child to love now and take care of... hope that's all going well for you.
