My family and I will be boarding the Disney Magic on March 15, 2008 for a seven day cruise. :compress:

Has anyone else been on a cruise line?

This will actually be the second Disney Cruise our family has taken. The first one was on the Disney Wonder, during December. It cost my mom $6000. Our whole family got sick and the ship's medical staff informed us that we would be quarantined in our stateroom for the remainder of the cruise... :tired:

That wasn't fun. We made a great deal of complaining and ended up receiving a partial refund of $1300. It was in credit, of course, so we have to take another cruise in order to use it... :| And we get to pay another $5000 in the process.

I went to Key West and Cozumel on Royal Caribbean. It was my best vacation ever.

Yes! I have just taken a Disney cruise last summer!

It's a lot of fun...assuming you're not ill and quarantined.

We went on a 7 day Princess cruise a couple years ago, it was fun. Despite the fact thay I'm not crazy about being "trapped" on a boat.
We didn't really take advantage of all that was offered, mostly just hung out. A bit stressful because I worry about details, but still fun.

I was a Peer Editor for PassPorter's Disneyland Guide (Disney's one of my fixations)

They have a great book out: http://openmouse.com/

Also, more than you ever wanted to know about DCL, unless you're me: http://www.allearsnet.com/cruise/cruise.htm

Well, at the time I was still in my "pretend nothing is wrong with me" phase, so I didn't ask. But good question. I did a quick search just to see, here's some info:

http://www.worksmarternowforautism.com/ ... ruises.pdf

http://special-needs.adoptionblogs.com/ ... ism-cruise

Not about cruises in particular, but I take it to mean they would accomedate you there too:
http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/dis_aut.htm

I'm sure there's more, like I said, quick search. Interesting though.

I'm back. It was a fun cruise. I caught a bad cold just before I left home, so I couldn't taste much of the food during the first few days of the cruise, and I was coughing an awful lot, but at least they didn't shut me in my room this time :D
