Like the threadkillers society, I decided to begin a society where people can discuss how their thread(s) were hijacked or if they were the the one who hijacked a thread.

Ya know that "10 things about you thread I started when i found this site? I started that same topic at a forum called anythingbutipod.com for the same reasons I made that thread. It was hijacked by this moderator called JDGAFFLIN who was a pain in the butt to begin with posted ten reasons why he hated that topic unlike an administrator who posted that he doesn't post in that type of thread and was very polite about it unlike him who called me insane and kept on hijacking that thread when I tried to keep it alive. Another mod decided to delete the topic after JD changed the title and humiliated me further until that topic was deleted for good and subsequently I got a nasty PM from JD about why he stole my thread and I sent him a reply stating that if you see a thread you want to leave rude comments in, then don't post anything. I immediately reported it to an administrator who banned me on my birthday and that jerk of a mod after a few months all because my thread was hijacked.

I'm usually the one hijacking the threads, so I can't be of much help. I don't do it on purpose, though.

I hate hijacking in your case but some ppl don't know if they're doing it or not. I've had it done to me but I had to control myself b/c they probably didn't know.

Back when Strapples was a regular, he and I hijacked threads all the time.

I always felt guilty about it, though.

In another forum I mentioned in an earlier post that mod always hijacked my threads until he was banned for good and he was so mean to me simply because he didn't like new guys.

Can someone explain how a hijacking occurs?

It sounds terribly similar to trolling.
