Why can't people write and perform their own music? All the Idol shows do is reward people for singing old songs and looking pretty.

^I agree. I like voices that have their own unique sound although sometimes ppl really can't carry a tune. I wish art was represented as more of an independent thing rather than a conformity thing that is imposed onto other's belief of what self expression is.

I'm obsessed with others' birthdates. I have a habit to check them but I didn't check yours Some months ago when Ana54 was turning 20, she forgot that day was any different than other days of the year and she was suprised I reminded her of her own birthday.

We, Poles have a saying: Jesli nie potrafisz, nie pchaj sie na afisz which translated word for word means: If you can't (do something), don't push your way to a poster (to be announced a person who can do something extraordinary to be admired in public). Very appropriate here.

Yeah, I usually watch it for kicks and laughs but not much else.

Most ppl I watch it with take it to extremes, like it's something very serious and not to be missed.
