...that the best way to live would be to leave everything behind and just travelling around the world. This is something I have always had in my mind.

Yes, I've been feeling isolated from the outside as well as within.

I also get the feeling I'm missing out on something. Traveling could also be a metaphor for something I wanna do besides something I wanna do, if you catch my drift.

This is something I'm feeling lately. It's almost 3 months I have a new job, it's fine, but I often have the feeling that I'm just running as fast as I can ...only to reamain behind, like I'm just playing the wrong game, where I just CAN'T win, and at the same time I can't do the things that truly give me joy and sense of fulfillment.

I had a friend who gave everything up and went to Italy to paint, he is quite well known now. He just went and did it.

Man, I wish I could do something like that, except it'd be in Japan to do manga art.

I remember in kindergarten just wanting to jump out the swing and just run across the feild from the school and just keep running until I'd seen all the world. The need and desire to travel has never gone away, and I hope to start as I enter into adulthood.

Yes, my life would be so much better if I could get to a beautiful and wonderful environment where no one knew me. Ah, bliss.

I've been traveling around the globe all my life, and miss doing just that.

More like losing the world so they could stop adding more problems on my plate...

Yes! But I'm obsessed with animals and I own a few. That makes it hard to live a nomadic lifestyle.

I wouldn't mind just dumping everything, and head for the hills, become a mountain man, I have done it for a year back in my mid 20's, I lived in the the area south of Revelstoke BC, but I still went to town a couple times a month

I've always wanted to join a society that doesn't use money and where everyone works to support each other, not to benefit themselves. But that would involve me leaving behind the people I love, so I'm just going to keep sticking at it.

Though it sounds romantic and all, the reality is that kind of life would be too stressful for me. I’m constantly torn between wanting to see a change in scenery and needing a semblance of sameness to feel comfortable. I like having my own little familiar space too much.

I'm going to do it. I'm not going to tie myself down. You shouldn't be afraid of doing anything. There's no best way to live that you're supposed to follow; all ways of life are valid. The worst advice that I've received was from my father who told me a few times to "stay on the straight and narrow". Don't do that.
