I love flying. it is so much fun... take off and landing are really fun because of the G-Force.

i also tend to think being at the airport is pretty fun... the wait isnt.. but all the technological equipment is fun... especially the security checkpoint... then my next favorite machine is the one that sucks your ticket in and shows your name on a small screen as you enter the jetway.

What do you love about flying?

I voted yes. Helicopters are my aircraft of choice, as I prefer the aerial sightseeing which is possible at lower altitudes. Also, I'd like to try flying in a wingsuit.

Yeah, my dad has a pilots licence, I love it when he lands without engines, the swooping feeling is great.

I like flying but as I get older my arms tire out much quicker so the flight time isn't quite as long.

Bush planes... little Cubs to Cessnas to Beavers... all depends on where you take off from and where you land.
Alaska used to have more pilots than any other state. Planes are EVERYWHERE!

I had the opportunity to join the Eielson Air Club on Eielson Air Force Base near Fairbanks.
I went through ground school and started flying.
Made it through three flights, then my daughter was born and I never went back to finish.
It was wild being in this little Cessna, on the taxiway with F-16's, A-10 Warthogs, C-130's, etc.

I would really like to fly a helicopter... flew as a passenger in many, for the military(jumped out of a few) and while on a firecrew.
They are really cool!
I'd also like to go up in a glider someday.

Commercial aircraft are fun also. I like to watch out the window on takeoff and try to pinpoint the moment right before rotation, when the nose of the plane lifts off first.

Straps... you should design a basket with chair access for ballooning! That would be cool to do also.

Ballooning does not really interest me... too much lack of control.... though i do want a powerchair accessible helicopter thank you very much!

I love flying, particularly in microlights. :) My Dad flies them and is a flying instructor, and he always used to take my sisters and me to the aerodrome where he flew. It feels amazing to fly in microlights, especially in summer (it's lovely and cool up there when it's too hot down on the ground! :P ). Holiday jets are also cool, but the pressure when I'm off the ground in them really hurts my ears. :?

I used to fly airplanes. I love to fly but I haven't done it in a long time. The last time I flew was back in 2002. I used to fly Cessnas. 150's and 172's. I got very close to soloing. Then I got scared. That is why I quit. Also 9/11 happened and there was no hope for being an airline pilot. And anyways, I have severe anxiety and other problems so they wouldn't hire me.

Oooh, yes, I love flying! For a long time though I wouldn't go on a commercial jet because I was afraid I would have a meltdown at 30,000 feet (I am claustrophobic and have a fear of heights). One day I just got up the nerve and went. It was a 757 and they must have done a full-throttle takeoff because man, did it ever push me back in the seat. We went straight up for forever it seemed. Here I was in the back of this plane all by myself and it was like riding on the space shuttle. I remember thinking, now I know how the astronauts feel! Anyway it was awesome, and I totally lost my fear after that. I kept looking out at the wings and thinking that there is no way this bird can drop me. I later found out that the 757 is known for its takeoff performance. Well I was pretty impressed.

I have flown an Ercoupe and a Cessna. I probably couldn't get a PPL because of medical reasons. But I enjoy reading about flying. There is a website I like to visit, it is called randsaviationphotosblogspot.com which is pretty cool, it's by a NWA pilot who flys a 757 and he tells all about the places he goes and what it is like to fly a big jet. Something I'll never know. Maybe sometime I will get lucky and get to go in a simulator, but I doubt it.
