I collect south african succulent plants like haworthias, gasterias and small aloes. Unfortunately, chipmunks love to eat them. They have already killed several of my plants this year. Time to get my shotgun.

I would love to visit South Africa some day, I just find its history so fascinating. I live in a part of Michigan that has a large Dutch population so I am especially interested in the Afrikaner culture and how it differs from Dutch culture here. Also Shaka and the Zulus, they remind me of the Native Americans. But I have heard that flights are awfully expensive so I don't know when I'll get to go or even if.
