Handwriting analysis is one of my many longtime obsessions probably linked to my need to "figure out" everything. This obsession was rekindled tonight after noticing my OT's unique handwriting. You know what they say about people who have extremely wide and long looped g's & y's! Now I'm obsessed with trying to find a way to find out for sure if this is true of her. This isn't the first time I have gotten obsessed with someone who writes like that--like I want to know if they really are like their handwriting shows!

I actually don't know what they say about people who do that.

I'm interested in it, but not obsessed with it.
I became interested in it after watching someone analyze handwriting to solve a crime on a tv show.

The long and wide looped g's and y's mean someone is into unusual sexual acts, experimentation and sometimes BDSM. The g's are the major notation of sexual fantasies and desires. If they only long loop y's but not g's then they are obsessed with money. The loop of the p's indicate feelings about physical labor. I've not ever heard of a long looped m.... Long looped t's denote sensitivitiy to criticism. The way the t is crossed can say a lot too.

I can't believe I am the only one knows about graphology on here. A teacher in high school actually got me into it.

I've read about it, but when I actually compare the handwriting of those I know well to the standard assumptions used in handwriting analysis, it's way, way off.

Plus most people's handwriting varies considerably depending on many different factors. Some, such as the person's mood, could be relevant.

But I know my handwriting looks different if I'm cold or pressed for time or even using a dysfunctional writing implement. I think it's safe to assume this would be true for most people. Therefore it must be hard to control for confounding variables, at least in application to the real world.

Go ahead and analyze my handwriting, and then I'll tell you how accurate it is.

That's printing, not handwriting. Analysis is done on cursive writing. All I could discern from someone who prints at all times as an adult is it would be a sign of immaturity. But I don't know that you print all the time. Need more to go off of really.

OK, I'll write something up in cursive and post it!

I had thought that handwriting analysis was meant to be applied to print as well as cursive. Now I'm curious as to whether that was why I found it so inaccurate (yet intriguing!). I can't wait to be analyzed!!

I certainly am no expert on it, nor do I know if its truly an accurate science or just a parlor game. I seriously want to know though if some of the people I know with what I call "kinky g's" really are kinky. 8O

OK, I wrote a page, intentionally at different speeds and on subjects that both bored me and interested me. I copied some text and wrote some stream-of-consciousness stuff. And I used my favorite pen.

I should add that I rarely write in cursive - I almost exclusively use print - so perhaps the only certain conclusion should be that I'm immature! :P
