Has anyone noticed that NTs are not empathetic towards us. They demands we be empathetic towards them yet they cannot show empathy for us has anyone else noticed that???

Well, I don't think it's that they don't show any because they know we're autistic. In fact I don't think the vast majority even know or understand what autism is.

Anyway, I think I have seen it myself but haven't really thought about it. Really, everyone is like that, NT or otherwise. I doubt all NTs are like that though. Just because someone is NT doesn't always mean that they'll be like the others. That's like saying "Just because so-and-so is whatever, they do this, that, and the other."

For the most part I agree with that especially NTs like Jenny Mccarthy and autism speaks founder who ever he is.

kind of hard to show empathy towards something you don't understand.

Yeah so I guess its a two way street between NTs and those with autism.

I don't know if it's an ASD/NT thing but I'm very tired on an empathic level. For the most part, people have only drained me. They need endlessly without ever thinking of the other.

i think empathy is only another form of social manipulation. i do not think it is possible to fully understand what another person is feeling, and to imply so would be a false statment. nobody can possibly know exactly how someone feels, nor "share" that specific feeling with them.
i believe that when another human being is going through pain or trauma, i can feel deep concern and compassion for that person.

Empathy isn't a form of social manipulation, it's exactly what you described. It ISN'T possible to fully understand what another person is feeling, but it IS possible to get a general idea.
