And I thought to myself, "This is a damn good peanut butter cup."

Then my mother walks in and asks, "You took the paper wrapper off first, right?"

I said, "What wrapper?"

Now I don't feel very well.

There are a lot of things I once thought that turned out to be untrue. Such as, "Don't worry, that growth on your hand is normal."

If you did eat the paper wrapper, it shoudn't make you sick. Possibly something else?

Wrecking fun unintentionally is still wrecking fun.

Funny like a clown or funny like, "I don't recall seeing that cancerous mole on my back yesterday,"?

Funny as in "This isn't how a Reese's peanut butter cup should taste...."

Well, you know what modern food is like; it's all artificial. Maybe some chemical that isn't normally in a Reese's peanut butter cup slipped in and caused a funny taste. That is, if I were to eat a strange tasting Reese's peanut butter cup, that could be an explanation.

There's no way you ate the paper unless you stuffed the whole thing in your mouth.
You stuck the whole thing in your mouth, didn't you? :D

True. I imagine you would know if you ate the paper anyway. It isn't exactly as creamy as the cup itself. At least I wouldn't think it is.
