When we are born, we are all the same. Barring medical differences, such as being addicted to heroin, or having a greater risk for breast cancer cause your grandma died of it, we are literally all created equal. So how is it that we are all so different? Society. We are all born into different circumstances, whether it's bad neighborhoods, alcoholic parents, or what have you. These experiences shape the kind of person we eventually become. We are literally shaped by our environment. In order to become the person I once was, I had to detach myself from the shitfestival that is american society. Only then can I fulfull my true limitless potential. The mass media is controlling the way we think, act, dress, and eat, and most people don't even know it.
Most things we think are natural are actually learned from our society. For example, love is partly instinctual, but a good chunk of it is taught to us from movie cliches, social stigmas, stereotypes, and the lot. Society conditions us to find pretty, thin women hot and attractive. If not for society, we would go after the heavier women, for they have a survival mechanism in their layers of protective fat. Yet we are taught that only a big butt is attractive. That's just a small example of a much larger concept that I am about to explain.
We are all literally animals. As much as feminists complain about men being animals, they are no more animals than women are, for the concept that humans are superior has been around ever since societies were created. Back in the days of cavemen, humans were animals in every sense of the word. Once societies were created by people like the Mayans and the Eygptians, people's minds were forever shaped. People were convinced from birth that women were inferior. Why? Because SOCIETY SAID SO. I think the idea that women are inferior stems from the fact that men are better hunters, and by the time the day of the caveman was over, the fact that women gave birth and would be smart to stay with the child while the man goes and gets food had carried over into the ideas of society. It evolved, as all these things do, into what it is today: A total f*****g joke. Now women have to work twice as hard as men to be successful, whether it's being skinny (That's one thing I will NEVER, EVER UNDERSTAND. It's harder for women to lose weight cause they give birth. So why in the f**k are men allowed to be fat and women HAVE to be skinny? Can I get a... BACKWARDS??) or whether it's running a respectable business.
Men, on the other hand, are expected to be perfect, whether it's sports, running a business, or social status, MEN ALWAYS HAVE TO BE NUMBER 1. This probably stems from the caveman days again, where men had to provide food and consequently shelter, no different than animals. By the time society was created, women were relegated to giving birth (because men are better at hunting and physical labor, there was little need for women in the workforce. I'm not being sexist, I'm just being realistic here folks) and that left men to create the society. As we all know, power corrupts. Absolute power, however, corrupts absolutely. So men inevitably created a corrupt society that we still feel the effects of even today. This is why minority groups have to fight for their rights.
If the species detaches himself or herself from society, only then can we be truly enlightened. For we all have a deep connection to nature, as we are all animals at the core. In a perfect world, we would live with nature, instead try to destroy it as the corporate monopolies do today. Society, however, is much too powerful a tool for an individual to fight: We must all come together and detach ourselves from this society, for only then will the world see peace. The corrupt nature of man (and thanks to society, now women are corrupted the same way as man one was and still is) prevents the majority from finding personal salvation, because man has created powerful tools such as religion to do it for you.
Religion cannot help you achieve personal salvation, as it is one of the most powerful forms of social control ever devised. The only way for people to become truly enlightened is to detach ourselves from society, and create a new society, free of social stigmas, and full of nature and love. As Jimi Hendrix once said, "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace" Unfortulately, men like him are few and far between, and most of them, such as Ghandi and MLK, are unfortuately silenced in one form or another.
