When it snows here, places close.

Yesterday I wake up to snow and I wasn't surprised because I heard on the news it was supposed to snow on Sunday and Monday. Then it became 80% chance on Saturday when my boyfriend looked it up online.

I was hoping I would go to my first aspie gathering here but it got cancelled because of the snow. Today I had an appointment with my therapist and it got cancelled because the place was closed. Tomorrow, I have a check up with the dentist and I dunno if the place will be closed. I would have to call.

In Montana, everything would still be open. Places don't close there on snow days, not even school.

My work didn't close from snow.

It was like 10 degrees, not to mention wind blowing in our face, and the icy roads. At 2am. But hey, it was fun.

I love snow! :D I live in northern Illinois though, so we get plenty of snow in the wintertime. Where do you live where places close when it snows?

We've only gotten a little bit of snow here. I think the most we've gotten was an inch so far, and it melted pretty quickly. We've been getting flurries off and on though.

Currently, there is still snow left but the wind chill is forecasted to be below zero.

I live in Portland and there will be more snowfall called for Wednesday.
And an even bigger snowfall called for next weekend to be not in inches, but FEET!

Next weekend's forecasted snow will be at least knee-deep.

I planned to go out to finish my Christmas shopping, but will wait until tommorow to do so.

It snowed last week here (about 2-3 inches), and I'm halfway between San Antonio and Austin.

Texas doesn't get much snow, except for the Panhandle and the mountains in the western part of the state.

Today, it's just overcast and cold.

It's super cold here right now and there's an ice storm warning. Therefore, everything's shutting down. Any threat of snow and this city closes up shop.

The only time I saw snow, it lasted for one morning. It was the first time it had snowed in over 20 years. I wonder how it must be to stay in a place where it snows a lot???

I'm in northeast England and it's been snowing loads last week and the week before. Today was the first iceless school day, which is welcome after days of having to walk really carefully to avoid slipping over. I hate walking in ice.

It was last winter that I outgrew the novelty of snow, because the road was blocked so I couldn't go to my friend's party. Nowadays, snow is pretty in pictures, but BS in practicality.

When it snows here, we grab our brooms. Not too often that we have to bring out a shovel. Sucks when you have o do it in -30C weather though.

It's been snowing all day today. It makes me sad that I can't go outside and run.

That's what my boyfriend told me. "It's supposed to snow Wednesday."

Snow in feet? Cool. I guess I better keep watching the news or keeping looking it up online. Are you sure that is for Portland, not the Cascades?

I live near Olympia, WA and it snowed yesterday. For the last few winters, it has been snowing more than normal. They are expecting heavy snow on Wednesday here. 3-6 inches of the white stuff. Yay. I don't want it to snow because that means we are stuck at home all day and can't go anywhere. If we have no plans, then I love the snow because it is beautiful.

Go play in the snow. Or stay inside and clean or do computer and watch TV, listen to music, play video games. I am planning on doing that all this week.

I wish it could wait until next week to snow, as I have the 24th and 25th off, won't have to deal with the hellish frozen roads... at least I drive to work before the rush.
