I register certain colours with certain numbers, like...

Green:4, 7
Red:3,8
Blue:1,9

and so on..

I have never had much faith in some numbers
being special - but i have to admit that 7 and 9
stick out for me. Have done since i was a tiny
little kid, hard to explain, they`re just appearing
here and there way too often spanning over
25-30 years now

I love numbers.

Warning: You opened the floodgates. My Aspie-special-interest speech follows.

All my favorites are small composites, as well as 0, 1, and the oddest prime (that is 2 for you non math people). This is because I love seeing how they fit together, and because of this I can become fascinated by series.

The below is an aspect of a set of series that Ive been tinkering with off and on the last several months.

Code:
       0^3 1^3 2^3 3^3 4^3 5^3
line 0: 0   1   8  27  64  125
line 1:   1   7  19  37  61
line 2:     6  12  18  24
line 3:      6   6   6

The recursive difference of adjacent terms of the first 6 terms of [img]http://www.bgoncalves.com/cgi-bin/mimetex/mimetex.cgi?\sum%20_{k=1}^{+\infty}%20(k-1)^n[/img] when n=3 results in the series {6,6,6} on line 3 before going to all 0's on successive, defined lines. (line k and after are undefined)

This is actually because because (3!)=6. Try adjusting n to another integer, you'll see that line n is only solely populated by (k-n) terms of (n!).

Note the figurative number series, and the distinctly linear plot of the last two lines. Brings to mind the process of differentiation, but it leaves me with a hint of a thought of an alternative application (differentiation of a series of differences of powers, and polyhedral numbers expressed in the same place?).

Ive been trying to find a correlation between the first (or second) term on each successive line. For n=3, it is {0,1,6,6} and {1,7,12,6} that I am most interested in. I want to be able to know those series for any n.

This works for all positive integer values of n and k. And its weird, because its really just binomial expansion... but so alluring and complex.

Hmm, need to study for the math class I am actually in, but I want to write a program to help me visualize some of these patterns.

Need trumps want.

I'm obsessed with the number 11. I see it in almost everything. Whether it be when I happen to look at the clock at 11:11 or the fact that my home address has the number 11 in it........or the fact that my first name, middle initial and last name equals 11 and so does my girlfriends. I'm a Gemini and she's an Aries. Add those two up and you get 11.....I've even created an equation in my social security that equals 11. The first letter in my name is the eleventh letter in the alphabet....Its just something that fascinates me I guess....Not sure really what it all means, how it all started and why I always seem to look at the clock when its 11:11 or 1:11 but I always do...

11*11 in any base >=3 results in 121... which looks like what would happen if you squeezed a pair of 11's together, and the middle 1's combined into a 2.

11*11 in base 2 is 1001 (which looks like the middle 1's annihilated each other in some matter/antimatter reaction) and in base 1 it is 1111 (though I guess you could also technically use a simple numeration of 0's in base 1).

Personally, I like putting numbers and letters together (A=1, B=2 etc...) and doing fun with that. Numbers are usually meaningless to me, but to me they fascinate me. Mind you some of my pastimes include making mazes and crosswords. I'm pondering if I should study game theory along with my accounting.

I've always had a weird counting thing. Like I will count how the number of letters in a phrase or billboard sign, license plates, etc. Its so ingrained that i pretty much do it automatically without thinking much about it. Not much reason or ryhme for it. Maybe I just like exercising my brain. Who knows?!?

It's called synesthesia.
Synestesia is when people can hear colors, see music...etc...
they get their senses mixed up...but it isn't considered a disorder.
A lot of people have it, but it is just little ways - like me.
I can smell 5:00 PM. It isn't always 5 o'clock when I smell it...but it has a distinct smell...
