There is currently a thunderstorm here in Indianapolis.

Do any of you have issue with storms?

I don't, but I am curious about all of you. Personally, I find weather interesting.

Meteorology is one of my fascinations, but I cannot stand thunderstorms.

Nearly everything I do is online (because doing outdoor activities in a subtropical climate can be very unpleasant), and I have to turn off my computer (to avoid power surges). And everything is disrupted.

If the weather were nicer in Houston, I could do more outdoor activities.

I don't mind them during the day, but its usually when I'm trying to sleep is when I have problems with storms. It's kind of hard to go to sleep when you become at ease, only to be awaken again by a loud "BOOM".

I don't have an issue with thunder storms.
Meteorology is something I enjoy studying in my spare time.
The only thing I am scared of is Earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes and tsunamis. I have never experienced one of those before and never want to.
Have you heard about Hurricane "Dean"?

How can thunderstorms be an issue? Besides having no power sometimes lol. They are so beautiful.

I love storms. They're almost holy for me.

Hurricane Dean will be coming here soon and I can't wait for the rain. I just don't want it to get too close.

i am prone to mood swings when weather fronts are approaching. Also my bulding floods almost every time, and sometimes the toilet backs up..so that can be a pain. Thunder always wakes me up, and I have a slight fear of getting struck by lightning. Otherwise, I think they are swell.

After lightning struck a tree in my backyard and nearly set my house on fire last month, I don't really like thunderstorms.

Hi Tim,

I've been struck twice by lightning, so I get a little nervous like one of those hyper small dogs when a storm is approaching. I constantly peep out the window to see what it's doing out there. A couple weeks ago I had just stepped out on the porch when a bolt of lightning struck in the woods in front of my place. Not only did it scare me, but I had this strange pain behind my hearing aid where it touches against the skull. So I think I picked up a little voltage. Last summer a bolt of lightning came through the curtained window, right by me and struck the fuse box. At this point I'm beginning to think God is after me! Oh! Also a couple weeks ago I saw my first ever sighting of what is called Ball Lightning. 8O Yep, it scared me good!

I used to be terrified of them. of cours i used to live in a mobile home too. I finally faced my fears in high school, when a tornado hit our neighboring town. My sisters and i set up lawn chairs and watched them touch down and up. If you can see the direction they are going, its not so bad. We lived on a hill with a splended view of both towns, and it was really interesting.. now, i love the rain and rarely get scared of them. I am more concerned about the cats in the house and where i would take them. I have always lived somewhere on high ground, so i could see what is going on. That helps immensely. In Oklahoma, there is usually a lot of that tornado-ey stuff going on.

Thunder storms make my hyper.

I get a little scared when they are really close though.

I really love storms, it is one of the cool things about living in switzerland there are approx 10x more lightning strikes here than the rest of Europe.

I love thunder storms. Yet have a healthy respect for the power of nature.
