Seriously, what would you do if Alex, one day, decided he'd had enough and shut the board down? Would it matter to you? Do you have most of your social contacts here?

It would almost be like having to start over looking for a place online where I can feel as comfortable as I have been these past few months. I don't have any social contacts from here (yet). Probably a spill over affect from my off line being. Please don't shut it down Alex, I'll buy another shirt! :hail:

I would be pretty bummed out and, most likely, lost for a while. Let's just hope that never happens.

I'd have to cast about for another active and friendly board, like I've had to do when other boards I frequented have closed, like Shadowpool.com.

I would be sad...

...but since I have ways to contact the people I talk to the most (e-mail, IM, etc.), and that there are other AS forums, it would even out.

I am going to retire after 25,000 posts anyway.

I probably would try to contact a few who I found interesting, to see if they would like to gather in another place, however they might not care. Not being that the case, I could look for another place, I think I may find one and start over, on the other hand, I would have more time to do something really productive

Maybe disappointment and then think "Less forums to go to. Wohoo" and go to other aspie sites but they just aren't as active. I would probably be more at AFF and on autism speaks and in AS facebook groups.

I would just think the best of it by looking on the bright side. Problem solved.
