just for general interest how much power u got in your laptops? all though i know they will be enough for u since u don't do gaming :)

what happend to the hard drive?
the word toasted make think of 'electrocuted and burnt or overheated.

recently had to wait for a new laptop HD as well,after physically knackering the old one.

never know how much they're relied on till the HD or laptop itself dies and dont have a spare one for back up.

what are using for internet access now Strapples?
am used a PSP,to get onto WP but it was like dial up again with the amount of memory it has.

i am using my new latpop

it had a headcrash and file system destruction

new lappy is 320GB 7200RPM HDD and 512 MB GFX and 4GB RAM

I'm having problems too. I picked up a virus/worm recently, and now I can only use my computer in "safe mode". It sucks because I can't get the sound to work, so no music, or Youtubes. I guess it's time to visit the "computer guy". :shrug:
