If I ever get a house with a nice backyard I want to get 3 dogs as well, probably mutts as my parents have two mixed-breed dogs and they're so sweet. Anyway, the name I've picked in this hypothetical scenario are:

Mischief, Mayhem and Soap

(you get bonus points if you can name the movie these names refer too)

BTW, LadyKathleen I love your avatar. :thumright:

Some dog names are based off their personalty or physical appearance.

I had Huskie/Broad Collier Mix named Crystal because of her blue eyes.

I have three Pomeranians. One is a feisty cream one named Zoey. One is a hyper white one named Winston. One is a lazy giant fatty named Zack. They have nicknames, too. Zoey's is Princess, Winston's is Hyperboy, and Zack's are both Brutus and Big Mama (since he's so fat, he looks pregnant!).

I have one little Chihuahua mix whose name is Doodle. I plan on getting him a companion within the next couple of years and depending on it's gender I have these names picked out: Snickers (female) or Noodle (male). Depends on the dog's personality and what fits, of course.

(Ps. Get it? Snickers & Doodle = Snickerdoodle. Or Doodle and Noodle... that one's just purely for my amusemet.)

XD Big Mama! hahahaha And I love Pomeranians, by the way...their soo cuute...x333 :D

And Simba's the best name you can ever give a dog, or any other animal, for that matter...BTW, that's my dog's name. :D And he's a Shiba Inu (a Japanese dog breed, it is small and is related to a husky. and it look's like a little fox, espesally if it's RED...like my little Simba is :) he's soo cute x3), and is almost 2 (will be turning 2 in the end of March lol^^).

He's soo adorable...x3 :D x3^^:)

Dogs are such great pets. :) And friends overall too of course^^ (afterall...they ARE concidered 'man's BEST friend'! :D x3^^:))

I think Simba is a great cat name, too. I know a person on my cat site who has a Siamese with that name. I associate certain names with certain breeds. For example, Samantha is the ideal name for a female Siamese cat. German names such as Heidi are excellent for dachshunds. Prince is a great multi-species name and can be given to cats, dogs and horses.
