Went to a Planning and Zoning Meeting

I went to a planning and zoning meeting here in San Marcos, with the Student Planning Organization, and the hot topic was a planned upscale apartment complex, which was along a creek.

The creek is near an earthen dam, and a few blocks from a historic neighborhood (we have seven in San Marcos). People were concerned about the floodplain situation, the traffic impact on the historic neighborhoods, and the environment.

The motion carried, and the apartments will be built.

Then afterwards, we all met for pizza.

We do this every other Tuesday.
